Got to go see some of the city today. Took the tram up Castle Hill and got some beautiful shots of the city. Walked down the Danube and ate at a little sidewalk cafe. Enjoy some images of Budapest.

My Flat

First day in Budapest a success.  Caught the airport minibus which took me straight to my flat where Vali was there to meet me and give me a tour and the keys.  I got mixed up after I went to get dinner and tried to get in flat 10 on the 2nd floor....oops I belong in building two, not building one.  Hopefully no one home to think I was trying to break into their flat....no wonder the key didn't work :)

Live and learn!  Tomorrow I'm going to go wander around, I'll post some pics.  Already saw some beautiful architecture, but I was in the midst of just getting to my "home," so pics weren't my priority tonight....after a good night's sleep, my priorities will change :)

Almost there

Down to the final hours until I depart.  In less than 24 hours, I will be heading over Eastern US, about to fly over the Atlantic to London.  I've checked and double checked my luggage.  I think I've got everything that I need.  House is clean and lawn has been cut one last time.  I get it, Mom, the coming home to a clean house thing. The last load of laundry is drying right now.  Once that is folded and put away, everything will be ready.
T minus 18 hours til takeoff.

At midnight, it will be 1 week for my departure date. Excited, nervous, but ready for the adventure of a lifetime.
